Ruukki's special floor elements were used in the zones that required particular flexibility. The ceiling was an innovation - a steel-based large element that has the benefit of allowing long spans and prefabricated eaves structures. The load-bearing exterior walls and special floors enabled the desired flexibility and the varying apartment plans on different storeys.
