CHALLENGE
Both industries and consumers use natural gas in the Baltic countries. The aging gas network required thorough modernisation to be able to meet the increasing demand. The poor condition of the old pipes' surface was a particular problem.

Our customer AB Lietuvos Dujos, the largest gas company in Lithuania, had made an agreement on delivering natural gas also to a new power plant in Kaliningrad. The deliveries were to begin shortly, and delays would mean significant penalties for our customer.
